FWR are a DVSA authorised MOT Test Centre for all motorcycles and scooters, Classes 1 & 2. We perform all MOT tests on premises using our own equipment and qualified MOT Testers. Unlike other garages we do not outsource this service.
Three Wheeled Scooters (e.g. Piaggio MP3) - If you have a 3 wheeled scooter, please call us before booking an MOT as you may need to visit a Class 3 MOT Station.
An MOT is a legal requirement for all motor vehicles registered in the UK and comes into effect on the third anniversary of the registration of the new vehicle. For more details visit the government MOT Guidance page.

Frequently asked MOT questions?
- Can you check over my motorcycle / scooter before the MOT test?
Yes we can and we charge £15.00 for this service but this does not include the time to carry out repairs to the vehicle. If the vehicle will fail due to a serious fault, we will contact you and reschedule your MOT Test so we can rectify the faults.
- What if my bike fails?
We will provide a free MOT re-test if
- you can repair the vehicle yourself and return it to the following working day for us to re-test
- You leave the vehicle with us to have it fixed in which case the repairs need to be completed within 10 days
- Is there a “grace period” of a few days after my MOT expires?
No !
- Can I drive with no MOT
No ! The only exception to this rule is if the MOT test is booked and you are going directly to the test station
